The first part focuses on the various ways in which Kabbalah is incorporated in Agnon`s literary ouevre: the various Kabbalistic Motifs, and the transformation of Kabbalistic concepts. The second part discusses the various Kabbalistic schools that shaped Agnon`s literature, like the Zohar and the Kabbalah of the Ari.
The book analyses Kabbalistic concepts and compares extensively but very carefully the many diverse texts that influenced Agnon`s writings.
