Description This book`s main object is to shed light on the Kabbalah as one of the main sources in Agnon`s writings .The Kabbalah component are discussed from three aspects: a. The author`s inner world. b. The Literary work of art. c. The various schools of Kabbalah that influence Agnon`s literature. The first part focuses on the various ways in which Kabbalah is incorporated in Agnon`s literary ouevre: the various Kabbalistic Motifs, and the transformation of Kabbalistic concepts. The second part discusses the various Kabbalistic schools that shaped Agnon`s literature, like the Zohar and the Kabbalah of the Ari. The book analyses Kabbalistic concepts and compares extensively but very carefully the many diverse texts that influenced Agnon`s writings. The book deals with all of Agnon`s works: novels, novellas, short stories, and even private letters. Special attention is given to literary works which are based on the Kabbalah literature. The discussion includes special Kabbalistic expressions found in Agnon and analysis of entire literary works.
