Rabbi Mordekhai Comtiyano was a polymath, and one of the great figures of Byzantine Jewry. This book contains Comtiyano's commentary on the Guide of the Perplexed, from a manuscript that exists in the Cambridge Library . This commentary exposes the characters and interests of Byzantine Jewish philosophy in the turn from Romaniotic culture to Ottomanic culture.
