Dr. Zohar Livnat is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Hebrew and Semitic Languages at Bar-Ilan University. Her main areas of interest are syntax, semantics, pragmatics and discourse analysis of spoken and written Modern Hebrew. She is the head of a project for retrieving the work of the late poet Uri Zvi Greenberg (data-base for linguistic-poetic research). She is the editor of the journal Hebrew Linguistics.
