About: Professor Yehuda Don was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1930. He studied in the Jewish Gymnasium. After the Holocaust he joined the Zionist movement and immigrated to Palestine. Following the War of Independence in 1948 he studied at the Hebrew University and the London School of Economics. In 1961 he joined the staff of the Department of Economics of Bar-Ilan University. He taught as a Visiting Professor at the Universities of San Francisco, Harvard, Yeshiva University and Budapest. He served as Chairman of the Economics Department of Bar-Ilan University for several years. He retired in 1997 with the title of Full Professor. He has published 9 books and 40 articles in academic journals.
