About:
Professor Yitzhak D. Gilat was a Professor of Talmud at Bar-Ilan University. He studied in Lithuanian Yeshivot and in Yeshivat Hevron in Jerusalem and graduated from the Hebrew University. He served as guest professor at Tel-Aviv University, at Yeshiva University in New York and at the Shechter Rabbinical Seminary in the United States. He published many books and research articles in the field of Talmudic literature and history of the "Halakha".
