About:
The author, born in Israel and son of Ladino-speaking holocaust survivors, is a lecturer at Bar Ilan University in the Department of Jewish literature and helped to establish the Ladino section of the department. He has written a variety of studies on Ladino literature devoted to the written and oral tradition of Spanish-Jewish culture, which were published in distinguished scholarly journals in Israel and abroad. In addition to his literary research, the author has also written text books for a new method of teaching Ladino as a foreign language.
